MY EYES

I strongly believe a person’s eyes speaks volumes about what the person is inside at any specific point of time than anything else. One can act or fake facial expressions or master body language skills but never can modify what is there in the eyes as it reflects what is inside. I generally look at eyes to gauge what a person is. I stopped looking into my eyes 3 to 4 years back as I could not able to take what is inside me. But last week I was just contemplating on a random thought by looking at the mirror and ended up observing my eyes. I was surprised. My eyes are very clear and have life. I could able to see some spark /twinkle in them may be due to child like innocence, which I brought back into my life. I really savoured that momemt. I gave some time to digest. Honestly I am a dead person 4 years back. There used to be not even single trace of enthusiam in life. It was only fear and irrational male pride that used to rule my life. Now I can see myself as a...

Festival Season

Festival season is on in India. To experience the festive mood you have to be at right places. For Dasara one needs to be in Mysore or Kolkata. For Deevali one needs to be in Mumbai. For Ramzan one needs to be in Hyderabad. For kumbabeshikes one needs to be in Varanasi.  For Vinayaka Chavithi one should be in Hyderabad or Mumbai. Otherwise you can hardly feel the festive vibrancies. Due to inflation, commercialization of each and every thing which thus created additional burden on middle class people is affecting the festive mood slowly. Some people are already showing signs of not actively participating /contributing to the festive mood. I sometimes wonder how I could teach my children about what festival means and why do we celebrate festivals. Last 3 years I was in Bangalore, place where festivals are just restricted to house- holds and mostly to half days. This year I am back to Hyderabad and I can feel the festival mood two to three days before the festival.  F...

Trivikram Srinivas

Image
Trivikram Srinivas does not need any introduction to people who watch Telugu movies. For those who do not know him, the wikipedia link is here . Having come from engineering back ground it took some time for me to appreciate the art work. From last couple of years I am roaming with people who are more inclined to art works. I started practicing playing flute and after some time I took interest in sketching and painting. Any art form requires conscious observation of the surroundings. Without paying attention to the surroundings one cannot become a artist. Coming back to Trivikram Srinivas , I used to enjoy his witty humorous one liners and serious elaborations in all his movies. But never realized what it takes to come up with such stuff. Writing such stuff comes so naturally and so easily to him.Check out the following videos of his speeches: Trivikram Srinivas talking about Siri vennela seeta rama Sastry : Trivikram Srinivas talking about Illayaraja: http://www.youtube.c...

ON DEMAND Phenomenon

I love Ads be it TV commercials or be it Print media. I can see the Ads throughout the day and does not get bored. Ads speak a lot about current state of society and its mind set, commercial company plans and intentions in the future. If you follow ads of a particular industry regularly you can come to know the direction in which the industry is going. Ads primarily help me in identifying the patterns. A flow of things in a pattern is constant. Corporate Leaders identify the patterns in one industry and apply the same in another industry with tailor made changes suited to ones industry. Names are different but the pattern is same. From past 3 to 4 months one common thing I see in almost all the ads (except FMCG) is “ON DEMAND”. What is it? Simply speaking giving customers what he wants without any entanglement. Eg: The first Ad is from TATA SKY, previously it used to air the ads which promote cost, quality and advantages of using TATA SKY but not what customer wants. But now it airs...
