This Phase of my life is Called "WAITING'"

MAINTAIN PATIENCE is the mantra in for me now a days. I am waiting for so many things to happen in my life. Waiting for the Stocks market to recover so that I can book the profits. Waiting for the Cricket world cup to get over so that my frined will take me to Nepal. Waiting for the SKY DIVING SEASON to begin so that I wanted to do my first dive. Waiting for my swimming classes to get complete so that I can take a course in SCUBA DIVING Waiting for my round belly to become flat so that I can gift myself. Waiting for the December to come so that I can start preparing for my TOFEL Test. Waiting for the May to come so that I can afford to buy a BIKE. Waiting for the LIC people to approve my one crore ruppess life insurance policy and finally Waiting for this phase to get pass on soon.

Can we take life as it comes?

To wake up every morning we make a choice, to eat the food we make a choice, to dress up we make a choice, to celebrate we make a choice, to talk we make a choice, to go out we make a choice. When life is all about choices what the heck it means I take life as it comes. When you say you take life as it comes it means this: “You go to cafeteria and order cup of coffee, the attendant delivers it but with less amount of sugar. Taking life as it is either u mix up the coffee with sufficient sugar or drink the coffee as it is. It not leaving the coffee and ordering the tea instead.” The only one guy I have ever seen who came close to taking life as it is BARRY. He is product owner at Dell. I got the opportunity to sit beside him for 2 weeks. He is one of most beautiful people I have ever met. He is the answer to all the questions; the buck finally stops at him. Every day he opens his laptop and before pressing the on button looks at me and says “LET’S SEE WHAT THE DAY BRINGS US today...

Sleeping with Enemy

Read the following link and stunned by the writing. AWED by the gal's clarity of thought. http://mediumboss.blogspot.com/2011/02/sleeping-with-enemy.html

No More Cricket World Cup Fever

Till my graduation days I used to watch each and every cricket match I encountered starting from streets to Grounds, kids to pros, villages to cities. After Graduation I happened to watch Tennis and Football matches. I was stunned not only because the matches are pretty interesting but also they are played in short time when compared to cricket. You can actually have more ‘WOW ‘moments in Tennis and Foot ball than in cricket. As most gals say Cricket is a boring game. I buy the thought now.

DOWN WITH FLU

It is the first time in last 18 years I went to the hospital for myself. Affected with flu from past 3 days. More than the flu the dizziness caused by it is more irritating. Body temperature is so high that one can make a omelet or dosa on me. No energy even to laugh at friend's jokes. Medicines are not even working on me. OH God !!! Who will save me from this.

Valentine's DAY SPECIAL

ON DEMAND Phenomenon

I love Ads be it TV commercials or be it Print media. I can see the Ads throughout the day and does not get bored. Ads speak a lot about current state of society and its mind set, commercial company plans and intentions in the future. If you follow ads of a particular industry regularly you can come to know the direction in which the industry is going. Ads primarily help me in identifying the patterns. A flow of things in a pattern is constant. Corporate Leaders identify the patterns in one industry and apply the same in another industry with tailor made changes suited to ones industry. Names are different but the pattern is same. From past 3 to 4 months one common thing I see in almost all the ads (except FMCG) is “ON DEMAND”. What is it? Simply speaking giving customers what he wants without any entanglement. Eg: The first Ad is from TATA SKY, previously it used to air the ads which promote cost, quality and advantages of using TATA SKY but not what customer wants. But now it airs th...

Friendship -- the only relationship I know.

Yes it is true. I do not share much of camaraderie with my father, brother or with any of my relatives than I do with my friends. There is a reason for this. By the time I realized I existed I am found myself in a Boarding school where mercy and love are nowhere in their dictionary at least at the elementary school level. All Wardens are Men. Men can only entertain children they can’t actually console them. The only solution they had to make stop crying the students is beating. If we did not ate they beat us, if we cried they beat us, if we laughed they beat us, if we slept they beat us and so on beating is the only solution that they had. The only people we had in hostel to share our sorrow, fears, happiness are the people around who are also suffering and they are my friends. So whatever we do we used to do it in groups starting from waking to sleeping and eventually they became integrated part of my life. Since I spent most of my life away from home and in those times there are no m...

First Taste of People Management

People Management is the toughest job among all the corporate jobs because it does not have any pattern and it does not follow any rationale. One of my leads used to say it is like a business transaction –take what you want and give them what they want. Does it apply in all times to all people or can we give them what they have asked for. There are lots of questions revolving in my head regarding people Management. Do we actually need to manage people? In any corporate world hierarchy itself is sufficient to get the things done and any individual is not bigger than the organization. Then why manage people. I used to ask lot of questions to my manager which he necessarily do not have answers but still tried to convince me and I never got convinced by his answers. I started reading books about it but found no answers. In the mean while I happened to organize a trip to Andaman Islands. At that moment I never thought the journey would test my patience, spontaneity, sacrificing ability, pro...

Travelling and its impressions on me

So many people ask me why I would travel most. The answer to this question is more than a single answer. Traveling helps me with the following things. •It keeps my mind open to things •It dissolves my consciously or unconsciously build ego •It make me realize I am living in most comfortable life than so many other people •It makes me humble of what I have. •It breaks my limitations. •It questions my belief system. •It negates my ideologies. •It helps me to identify the patterns and Answer me the questions recurring in my head. By doing all these it makes me realize that being human is super. People say there are two kinds of people-Good and bad. But I never encountered any bad people in my Journey till date. May be I am not even considering the things done by them as bad. In Travelling I just do not see places I see the people, their madness their life their survival. I do not take pictures of them as I remember them. The following journeys had a strong impact on me: •Attending BSP...
