2012 – A Tough Year

2012 was a very tough year. I received setbacks and more setbacks. Pushed on to the stages where I was not comfortable or never faced. I endured. The setbacks removed some of the unnecessary perceptions and unessential things in which I thought were important. Life has become much simpler now. Friendships have become much deeper and stronger. Books were my companions throughout the 2012. I read and read and then again read.

I did not paid much attention to my fitness, my body and my hobbies. I did not travel much, did not even stand by my oath: to travel at least one foreign country every year starting 2012. Gave up continuing learning playing flute. Found interest in sketching but could not able to continue on that.Much of time focused to make my career better. Got an award at the company on the final day.

Life is much bigger and brighter than I thought.  2012 once again showed me that it is the simple things in life I crave for. My thoughts have been much more streamlined in what should I do be doing for my rest of life. If I have to sacrifice and work hard for it and I will happily do that without any regret. The important lesson I learnt in 2012 is most of the times if we change the objective of attaining something everything changes in attaining that something.

PS: What does not kill you makes you stronger.
