Verge of Historical Transformation
These are the days of historical significance across the world. Irrespective of which industry one is working, he/she has a high chance of being in the part of the history. For all those people born in late 80s and early 90s, who missed being in part of independence revolution, industrial revolution , IT revolution and who always wanted to be part of the revolution or transformation, this is a best chance to be part of the history.
These are the days where earning money is becoming difficult, gone are the days of easy money. Almost all developed markets have become matured, Oil crisis is not far away, Real estate bubble in Asian countries,Computer industry is struggling to make profits, globalization is no more a buzz word, less stable countries are breaking down completely, green house effect is showing stronger impact, many nations and states are on the verge of bankruptcy, immigration to different countries for work permit is getting more difficult etc., I guess we are reaching to the peak of everything. The other side of the peak is not greener anymore. Though I agree that nature takes care of itself, balancing one way or another. This post about how to take the advantage of the situation to ourself or more specifically to our careers.
If the feelers I am experiencing are true, then there is going to significant change in the way we are going to lead our life in coming days.Technology (not just software but hardware) is going to change in a big way and this is going to happen in each and every industry. Oil export countries especially in middle east are changing themselves to tourist destinations. In most of the countries solar industries are encouraged by giving additional tax benefits. The less stable nations are at war in order to become stable nations. People spending power has increased drastically in most of the nations.
I guess there is large scope for the following careers five years down the line : cloud computing, big data, analytics,Energy consultants especially in Renewable energy, sustainable architecture, political consulting, education, health care, tourism especially in currently oil exporting countries and entertainment.
