Evolution
When people are asked “what is certain in life?” The most
unanimous answer would be Change. When we look at the things from science
perspective the word would be “Evolution.” Humans evolved from animals, animals evolved other species
so on and on. But when I think about different cultures, traditions, languages,
food, body structures of people and animals across the world I wonder whether
the pattern of evolution is same across the world.
I guess humans started evolving from animals at different
places like America, China, India, Brazil, Egypt, Europe etc., more or less at
the same time. I do not think there would be one male or female initially but a
group evolved at these places randomly and systematically from other species. I
do not want to say humans evolved from lesser species, as the word lesser is
relative. I observed a definite pattern almost in all the groups, may be it is
already proved in science. The pattern looked like as if it is bound to happen
if universe started again.
- All the evolved species in one particular region traveled in search for food, shelter and safety basically to get survived and thus might have met others in their way and then formed groups. Groups provide sense of safety. This is one of reasons in any country where people are minority they are always in groups.
- Language came into existence when groups became larger. Till then communication would have happened through body signals. When groups have became even larger they might have split and divided and went on forming new languages with the limited knowledge they had. If you observe most of the languages in a particular region are almost interlinked. Means if you master one language properly you can understand/ learn other languages easily. For eg: Almost all European languages use same script but have different sounds. Spanish and Italian almost sound similar. In India almost all languages are derived from Sanskrit. Chinese and Japanese look similar. Even in some parts of South America people speak Native Spanish. In some of Canada people speak Native French. The reason might be different groups might have traveled longer distances to start their own communities.
- As the group got bigger there might be people who wondered what is there outside their communities and must have wandered. After traveling many places some might have settled in foreign lands and some might have returned to their homelands with stories (good and bad about other communities) to tell. They might have implemented and corrected some of their practices with the new knowledge and thus cultures started evolving.
- Music and dance are almost there in any culture. These art forms might have come when people find difficulty in expressing themselves through language. The music and dance has roots coupled with the culture. You cannot separate them.
- Language, music and dance tell about the people of the culture who are using them. Eg: Tamil Language is easy to learn and you can speak very fast and when you observe the people they are always in hurry and fast. It has been formed in that way. People of this culture always in hurry/ fast to do more. More intellectuals came from this culture than any other culture at least in India.
- Weapons evolved from gathering food to protecting ones’ communities from others, which lead to drawing borders between communities. The communities that were not able to sustain merged with others, the communities that were very strong invaded others and in the process evolved human perceptions and cultures.
- Games are the activities that are invented to pass the time. This depends primarily on the climatic conditions and geography of a particular region.
